HOW IT WORKS

Three grooves are placed along a solid pin to extend extremely precisely itís nominal diameter on a given place. When inserted into a hole the size of itís nominal diameter, the grooves are compressed to obtain a holding force. The deformation of the pin is not permanent.

LOCKING FORCES

Locking forces exist when the expanded diameter is compressed (figure 1) into a hole itís nominal diameter (figure 2).

MAIN ADVANTAGES

  • A simple drilled hole is required.
  • A hammer or an hydraulic press is sufficient.
  • The fastening resides in this part which makes it simple.
  • Many different grooves allow a large field of application.
  • Various materials are available including steel, heat treated steel, stainless steels A2 and A4, brass, aluminiumÖ
  • Parts can be zincked or with other protections.
  • It can be removed and reused.
